Guy Opperman MP said "Residents have been talking to me about this issue and I was very pleased to be able to achieve it in a couple of cases. I am now working with my council collegues to take the campaign county wide."

Peter Jackson, leader of the Conservative group on Northumberland County Council added "Of course we should be doing everything we can to make our county as safe as possible for children, this would be an effective way of reducing indicidents and potential incidents outside our schools. We now need residents from across Northumberland to sign our petition so that we can take the cause to the Council."
