Conservatives from across Northumberland have delivered over 6000 newspapers to every home in Berwick to mark 100 days of the Conservative administration at County Hall.
The 'Northumberland News' newspaper was designed to inform residents of the positive activity of Northumberland County Council since the Conservatives became the largest party in May's local election. A copy will be delivered to residents in every part of Northumberland.
Two out of three of the County Council seats in Berwick town were won by Conservatives, where previously the party held none.
Catherine Seymour, who was elected for the party in Berwick North said: "My door is always open for residents, but quite often people choose not to engage with local politics. I hope residents will see this as our opportunity to reach out to them, and let them know about all the hard work we do to make their lives better."
Anne-Marie Trevelyan MP, who was out with the team said: "I'm incredibly proud of all that the council has achieved for residents here in Berwick in such a short space of time.
"The Labour council had expensive plans to move County Hall 3 miles away, as well as to build 26,000 new houses across the county. Local Area Councils have been set up to bring decision making closer to people and here in Berwick the council has created more town centre parking by removing the controversial coach park and invested in new equipment for the Swan Centre.
"Catherine Seymour and Gregah Roughead have worked tirelessly in that time and I know they will continue that work over the next four years."
