Last week, Tynedale and Ponteland MP Guy Opperman joined local communities in paying his respects to those who gave their lives defending our nation.
Guy placed a stake in the House of Commons Constituency Remembrance Garden on behalf of communities across Northumberland and joined veterans and local communities in Hexham and Prudhoe.
Guy also joined Stephen Phelps, who helps to run the local Ponteland and Dinnington Poppy Legion, in Ponteland to show his appreciation for Stephen’s commitment.
Guy said: “Last week, I joined communities in Hexham and Prudhoe to pay my respects, and thanked Stephen Phelps in Ponteland for his amazing work for the Poppy Legion.
"I was honoured to remember and honour the heroism, courage and sacrifice of those who have defended our country and our freedoms, including everyone in the 3rd Regiment Royal Horse Artillery at Albemarle.''
