Northumberland Conservatives are committed to ensuring local businesses are growing and creating jobs. This week Hexham MP Guy Opperman visited Egger in Hexham to discuss their continued investment in our local economy and how Guy can support them in the future.

Following the visit Guy said:

“More jobs is one of my six priorities for Tynedale and Ponteland and we have made good progress. Over the last decade, unemployment in our area has fallen 45%. This means more families with more money in their pockets, boosting our local economy.

"But there is more to do. I will continue working with businesses like Egger to bring more investment into our communities and increase the number of local apprenticeships, so young people are equipped with the skills they need for high-paid employment."
