A consultation will be taking place to canvass thoughts about placing double yellow lines along a stretch of Mitford Road, Morpeth, Cllr David Bawn encourages residents to take part.
Cllr Bawn said "I would urge local residents to take part in the consultation. Parked cars along the stretch of road are causing visibility problems at the start and the end of the school day, when children are walking to and from Newminster and Chantry Schools.
“It is hoped that the new restrictions will increase visibility and add to road safety in a street that at peak times becomes very congested.”
