This past week, we have had a busy five days in Manchester attending the Conservative Party Conference. It is a great opportunity to meet other party members, businesses and colleagues from across the UK.
It was wonderful to see so many Northumberland faces attending and to see our brilliant MPs, councillors and members promoting Northumberland to others. One of the best parts about Conference is talking to people and hearing their ideas for what should happen in the future. Conference is not just attended by Conservatives members or politicians – it also attracts hundreds of charities and businesses and one of the best areas of Conference is the Exhibition Hall where you can see them all.
Our Berwick-upon-Tweed MP, Anne-Marie Trevelyan made her debut Conference speech as the Secretary of State for International Trade giving some insight into her new role and with some honourable mentions for Northumberland. Watch Anne-Marie's speech here.
A brilliant time was had by all and recommended for anyone to attend in Birmingham next year. Finally, for those who may have missed it, the closing speech from the Prime Minister is above.
