Hexham MP Guy Opperman opened the new Hexham offices of Lifespan, a North-East based charity which supports people suffering from serious, life-limiting illnesses and their friends and families.
The charity offers care and support to patients free of charge, through complementary therapies, counselling, bereavement support and more, both at home and in hospitals and hospices.
Mr Opperman, who met with Lifespan Manager Sheila and her team of staff and volunteers, said: "Lifespan offers such wonderful support to seriously ill patients and their families at extremely difficult times, and it was a pleasure to open their new offices in Hexham. I really enjoyed meeting the Lifespan team and hearing all about the incredible work they do."
