This week Cramlington Town Council agreed a further £100k investment into Cramlington play parks for our young people with our focus on Cramlington being a child friendly town, this is on top of the new play park at Westfield Park that we have provided, the complete replacement at Seven Oaks, and also the new MUGA at Seven Oaks also under the Conservative run council.
Horton Park play area will benefit from this including new play surface, equipment and gathering community ideas on an older play offer which we hope to commence discussion on soon.
We are also looking at a full refurbishment of the strategic Alexandra Park hopefully in the next 12 months with a further investment of an additional £100k.
Speaking about the development on behalf of all 9 Conservative councillors, Cllr Paul Ezhilchelvan said “This is a fantastic investment in our town council facilities. Play parks are hugely valued by Cramlington residents and well used by local families and we cannot wait to see the work start".
Cllr Christine Dunbar added that "This huge investment is yet only a small part of the huge focus and efforts that we continuously commit to investing in Cramlington.”
