Cliff Humphrey

Cliff is the the county councillor for the Newsham ward of Northumberland County Council and he also represents Newsham on Blyth Town Council. Since 2021 he has been the Vice Chair of the Licensing Committee and the Vice-Chair of the Licensing Hearing. 

Cliff was elected in May 2021 and is the first Conservative to be elected in Newsham. He is also one of the first three Conservative county councillors to be elected in Blyth, along with new councillors in South Blyth and Kitty Brewster.

Labour-led Blyth Town Council set to spend £15000 on mayoral chains

On Thursday, Blyth Town Council agreed to spend £15,000 on civic chains for the Deputy Mayor and their consort. At the full council meeting, a proposal was put forward to buy new chains of office for the Deputy Mayor and the Deputy Mayoress at a cost of £15,000.
