Plans for 850 Homes and Link Road at St George's Hospital Site

The Homes and Communities Agency (HCA) have submitted a planning application to redevelop the site of the former St George’s Hospital and surrounding land, located on the north eastern edge of Morpeth.

 

The plans include an outline application for a residential development of approximately 850 dwellings and a full application for

a new link road. The new link road will enable access to the development site from a roundabout off the proposed Morpeth Northern Bypass (anticipated to be completed by December 2016). 

 

Local Conservative Councillor David Bawn said, “The planning application for the St Georges site has been long anticipated and I look forward to reading through the proposals.  Where any local residents have views or concerns about the scheme I would very much like to hear them.”
